God loves you and created you to know him personally.
The Bible says, “God so loved the world, that he gave his only Son, that whoever believes in him should not perish but have eternal life” (John 3:16 ESV).
God thinks you’re so valuable that he wants to spend eternity with you!
Jesus Christ is God’s only provision for man’s sin and we must receive Jesus Christ as Savior and Lord. You can receive Christ right now by believing in your heart and speaking aloud as the Bible tells us in Romans 10:9-10.
Here is a suggested confession to guide you:
I want to know you personally. Thank you for dying on the cross for my sins and I believe you rose from the grave. I open the door of my life and receive you as my Savior and Lord. Thank you for forgiving me of my sins and giving me eternal life.
Your assurance of salvation is not by your works, because you can’t earn your salvation. Your assurance of salvation is not by your feelings, because feelings come and go.
“It is by grace you have been saved, through faith — and this is not from yourselves, it is the gift of God — not by works, so that no one can boast.” (Ephesians 2:8-9 NIV)
If God says it, that settles it, because God cannot lie. You can trust the promise of God’s Word. You can rest in it.
The good news is that Christ has died for us, meaning that we can ask for His forgiveness and receive it. It is simply a matter of turning to God through Christ and, through prayer, confessing that we have fallen short of His standards, expressing our desire to have Christ direct our lives for His glory, not ours.
1 John 1:9 (NKJV) “If we confess our sins, He is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.”
