Hurricane Irma Relief Efforts

As we all have seen, the impact Hurricane Irma made was widespread.

While there are many worthy relief efforts out there we could participate in, we have decided on two areas close to home.

Word of Faith – Virgin Islands  –  a church in the WOFICC/Impact family was affected by Irma.  While their building is still standing and intact, they are without power for the foreseeable future.  Their primary need is cash so that they can continue to purchase diesel fuel to run their generator and keep their church open to share the Word.  We took a special offering on this past Sunday, September 24th.  It was a huge success and we thank you!!!

In addition, the Impact Student Ministry, is helping Impact students, Amana and Amalia Richardson collect and provide supplies for their grandparents in the Virgin Islands, who were heavily affected  by Hurricane Irma .  Their father, our very own, Lieutenant Les Richardson will be traveling to the Virgin Islands to provide assistance to his parents.

We are asking your help by purchasing the following supplies that can be distributed to the Richardson’s family members as wells as others in the area:

  • Personal Toiletries
  • Citronella Candles
  • Disinfectant Wipes
  • Batteries(D, AA, AAA)
  • Paper Plates
  • Frog Togs (weather proof gear)
  • Pringles(snack foods not in bags)
  • Hand Sanitizer
  • Cereals
  • Deodorant
  • Toothpaste
  • Antibiotic ointments
  • Soap
  • Tylenol
  • First aid kits
  • Food Items(non-canned)

We are still collecting donations!  You can bring your items to the Impact Student Room 102 in the HCC Ybor Performing Arts Building on Sunday.
